Modeling and Simulation Intern

Umbra
  • Built 4 satellite models and scenarios in STK for use in simulations with global and local target decks to provide product capability estimates to customer 3 days ahead of schedule
  • Programmed modular scripts in Python and MATLAB to interpret ephemeris generated from STK satellite simulations and compute access metrics, allowing for any team member to generate output without STK
  • Authored Excel spreadsheet outlining over 30 technical and business performance metrics for 12 industry competitors
  • Collaborated with a short-cycle, agile software engineer team through Jira and logged project in a design document on Confluence
  • Corresponded with stakeholders, executives, and engineers across teams to identify needs and preferred configuration management platforms; decided locations of future input data, modeling scripts, and STK files through proposal document
